.NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME universal domain name extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. At first, only third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to buy john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired 3rd-level domains remained operational.

Through our firm, you can grab your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been completed. There are no special rules on who can register a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
